Meet Assistant Baseball Coach Chip Chapman
How long have you played/coached your sport? Played for 30 years and still going coached 9 years.
Where did you go to high school/college? Burlington County College and West Virginia University
What made you want to coach? My dad is an umpire and I wanted to stay close to the sport I love but not follow in his footsteps.
Why did you choose SCC? I played for Coach Holt at Burlington and was excited about the opportunity to join him as a Coach.
What are your goals while coaching at SCC? Continue to build a winning program.
Best part about working at SCC? Coaching with guys that love and respect the game.
Favorite TV Show? ESPN First Take
If you could vacation anywhere free of charge, where would you go? It would be a road trip to see a game at all the MLB stadiums.
Thoughts on garden gnomes? They are CREEPY
Would you rather eat only one food for the rest of your life, or not be able to listen to music and why? Definitely eat one food today’s music stinks.
Where do you work outside of coaching? I own my own painting company.
What is your favorite moment from playing/coaching? Coming back from our spring trip in Florida last year and playing Cumberland.. the energy on the field and in the dugout was truly special.. it made me really want go to war with our guys!!
