Carneys Point, NJ. – Six Mighty Oaks scored in double figures as Salem Community College rolled past Lancaster Bible College JV, 106-71, in a non-conference match up at the DuPont Fieldhouse. With the win the Mighty Oaks move to 5-1 on the season.
Sophomore guard Tivon Woolford lead the way with a team high 18 points for SCC shooting 8-12 from the field. Julien Jones scored a season high 14 points with Xavier Brewington adding 13 more for the Mighty Oaks. Joshua Ramos and Tyrone Tolson both scored 12 points for Salem while Rodney Shelton registered a double-double with 11 points scored and 12 rebounds to go along with a season high 8 blocked shots.
The Mighty Oaks have a quick turn around when the will host Atlantic Cape Community College in a Region 19 game Saturday November 23. Tip off is scheduled for 2:00PM at the DuPont Fieldhouse.
