Carneys Point, NJ. – The Salem Community College men's basketball team had three players score more than 20 points in their 112-67 rout of Luzerne County Community College. With the win the Mighty Oaks improve to 18-6 on the season.
There was a tie at the top the scoring leaders for Salem with Tyrese Fortune and Joshua Ramos both scoring 24 points in the win. Fortune shot 7 for 13 from the field while Ramos was hot from outside the three point line shooting 6 for 13 from beyond the arc. Jyheim Spencer registered a double-double for the Mighty Oaks scoring 18 points and pulling down a team high 11 rebounds. Ahmodrion Jones scored a personal season high 20 points for the Mighty Oaks. Also scoring in double figures for Salem was Stefan Phillips scoring 11 points and pulling down 9 rebounds.
Salem will travel to Montgomery County Community College for a tough Region 19 matchup Tuesday February 4 with a 7:00PM tip off at MCCC.
