Mighty Oaks Seeded 10 For National Championship Tourney
Carneys Point, NJ. - In front of a crowd of Salem Community College men's basketball fans the Mighty Oaks found out their seed for the NJCAA Division National Championship Tournament. The Mighty Oaks received the tenth seed and will face off against Riverland Community College. Riverland are from Region 13 out of Minnesota coming in with a 29-3 record on the season. The match up will take place Wednesday March 12 at Herkimer College in New York. Tip off is scheduled for 4:00PM.
If Salem wins versus Riverland, they will move on to play second-seeded Mohawk Valley Thursday March 13 at 6:00PM. If they lose, they'll get the loser of Union College and Genesee Community College at 11:00AM the same day. This is the first time in the colleges history that the men's basketball program is making a run at a national title.
