Mighty Oaks Rise to No. 1 in NJCAA National Polls
Carneys Point, NJ - Salem Community College men's basketball has reached the top of the national rankings, as the Mighty Oaks have moved to No. 1 in the NJCAA national polls for the first time in recent history.
After spending the entire season ranked No. 2, Salem climbed into the top spot following a perfect 14-0 start to the year. The historic rise reflects the program's consistency, resilience, and high-level play throughout the opening stretch of the season, as the Mighty Oaks continued to deliver statement performances against conference and non-conference opponents.
"Its just a testament to all the hard work these young men and the young men before them have put in," said Head Coach Mike Green when asked about the ranking. "A testament to all the hard work the college has put into the program, it's great thing for the porgram".
Salem's undefeated run has been fueled by a balanced attack on both ends of the floor, with the Mighty Oaks showcasing depth, discipline, and an ability to control games from start to finish. Week after week, Salem proved it belonged among the nation's elite, and the move to No. 1 confirms what the team has demonstrated all season.

"It's a great thing for our college and great thing for our community, its just a great thing everyone who has been putting the work in," added Coach Green.
