Nasseem Wright Named GSAC Player of the Week
Carneys Point, NJ. - Salem Community College men's basketball standout Nasseem Wright has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Player of the Week following an impressive stretch that helped keep the Mighty Oaks unbeaten at the top of the national rankings.
Wright delivered a dominant all-around performance as Salem went 3-0 on the week, averaging 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. His scoring efficiency, leadership, and ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor played a key role in each victory.
The freshman guard consistently stepped up in critical moments, setting the tone offensively while also contributing on the glass and facilitating for his teammates. Wright's strong play continues to anchor a balanced Salem lineup that has emerged as one of the top teams in the country.
Salem Community College is currently ranked No. 1 overall in the NJCAA, a historic achievement for the program, and Wright's recognition reflects the team's continued excellence and depth throughout the season.
