Carney's Point, NJ – The #3 ranked Mighty Oaks finished the regular season on a high note, notching a win in their final game to improve to 29-1 on the season. On sophomore night for Salem, it was a great effort from the three Sophomores. Stefan Phillips had a double-double in his first game back from injury, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Michael Goodwin had a fantastic night on the glass, as he had 10 rebounds and five points in his first start for Salem. Off the bench, the other sophomore Nayeem Johnson led the team in scoring, with 18 points on 7-8 shooting from the field. Five other Mighty Oaks finished with double digit scoring in the contest.
Saaid Lee with 13 points, Zyaire Gibson with 10 points, Nasseem Wright with 15 points, Quade'air Smith with 10 points, and Idris Rines with 11 points were the other scorers for Salem.
The Mighty Oaks now head into the postseason with the best record in Region 19, with playoffs starting on February 24th.
