Men's Soccer Takes a 4-3 Victory over Bergen CC

Paramus, NJ. – The Salem Community College Men's Soccer team notched their second straight win of the young season, with a 4-3 victory over the Bulldogs of Bergen Community College.

With the win, the Mighty Oaks improve to 2-0 on the season, after beating Middlesex College on Thursday this, in their home opener.

Salem jumped out to a 3-1 lead at the half, with a big first half by Marcos Piao.  Piao lead the way with two first half goals.  Also contributing to a very strong first half, was Pedro Paulo Maia with a goal scored and one assist. 

"We didn't put them away", said Head Coach Matt Murray "They fought their way back into the match. We learned some things today and will continue to get better".

The Mighty Oaks return to the home pitch Tuesday at 2:45PM at The Total Turf Experience, when they face off against the RCSJ – Gloucester Roadrunners in Garden State Athletic Conference play.
