Men's Soccer Makes It Two In A Row

Carneys Point, NJ. – The Salem Community College men's soccer team made it two wins in a row posting a 4 – 3 win over Delaware County Community College Tuesday on the campus of DCCC.  With the win, SCC raises its record on the season to 6 – 3.

The Mighty Oaks got off to a quick start scoring in the first two minutes of play on a goal by Juan Cruz, with the assist going to Jaydon Sealy.  Salem continued their offensive surge jumping out to a 3-0 lead on goals by Marcos Piao and Pedro Paulo Maia with Paio also picking up an assist.  DCCC answered back with two goals cutting the lead to 3-2.  With just 48 seconds until half, Piao continued a very strong day on offense scoring on a penalty kick to enter the half with a 4-2 lead. 

Delaware CCC answered in the second half with a goal at the 33:33 mark to bring them within one.  The Mighty Oaks defense held firm holding on to the lead and securing the 4-3 victory.

Salem Community College will be back in action Thursday when they travel to Brookdale Community College where they will face off against the Jersey Blues.  Kick off will be at 3:30.
