Men's Soccer Drops Match to Ocean CC

Toms River, NJ – The Salem Community College men's soccer team suffered a tough loss to Region 19 opponent Ocean County College, 1-0. This is the Mighty Oaks first loss in the month of October as they have lost only two matches in their last eight games.

On the day Salem could not get to the back of the net as they tallied eleven shots with five shots on goal. Salem goalkeeper Mateus Silva had another strong performance as he had ten saves, only allowing the single OCC goal in the 68th minute of the match.

This is the first match of a challenging stretch for the Mighty Oaks as they have four games in this final week of the regular season. Salem will continue to make a push for the Region 19 post season when they face off against Delaware County Community College Tuesday, October 11. Kick off will be at 3:30 at 10 Freed Road in Pedricktown.
