Carneys Point, NJ. – Salem Community College women's basketball sophomore guard Maggie St.Clair scored 14 points but it wasn't enough as Mercer pulled away in the fourth quarter to hand the Mighty Oaks a 65-53 loss is Garden State Athletic Conference action. With the loss the Mighty Oaks move to 4-6 on the season.
Akira Chambers scored 10 for the Mighty Oaks on 4 for 6 shooting while Kathryn Laurence added 9 in the defeat. Daniella Gustin added 9 rebounds for SCC with Caroline Zullo adding 4 steals in the back and forth match up.
The Mighty Oaks will be off for the holiday and will be back in action in the new year when they will host Camden County College at home January 7 of 2025. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM.
