Carney's Point, NJ – The Mighty Oaks women's basketball team picked up their first win of the season against Lackawanna College, 57-44.
The game started out slow with the score tied up at 9 after the first quarter. However, the Mighty Oaks would go on a scoring spree, posting up 22 points in the second and third quarters before fizzling out with only four points in the final frame. For Salem, Tanijya Shaw paved the way with 22 points on 9-26 shooting, along with five rebounds and three steals.
